The Ventura Vintage Volkswagen club is hosting a pot luck lunch on Saturday, if you're not staying a the campgrounds, you can pay a small day use fee and come hang out.

 

If you don't come to the lake, there's lots to see and do around Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Barbara and Ojai.  Oxnard has two car museums and Camarillo has an air museum.  There's also a SeaBee museum on the base in Hueneme and an excellent maritime museum nearby in Channel Islands Harbor.  The art museum in Santa Barbara is great.

 

The big sandy beach in Carpinteria at the end of Linden Ave is the best for sunbathing and swimming.
