Caravaning up from Southern California

Hi All,

I am planning to head North from The LA area on the 17th. Casper57 and His Nephew are also planning on heading out the same day..

Anybody else interested in going that way? We will head up Hwy 101 until Crescent City, then cut over to I-5. Running 60-65 mph ..Do about 450ish miles per day.

I'm driving up from OC solo, but leaving on Sat 7/15.....cuz I wanna go a little early and check out Victoria BC before the Treffen. The more the merrier! Wanna come early and check out Canada EH? I've driven up to Pt Angeles before, but didn't make it over to Victoria BC.....so I definitely want to this time around. Lemme know if ya wanna join in the fun!

Hi,

We should get to Oxnard around 10:30 to 11:00 on the 17th.

Due to predicted high heat weather forecast, We are planning to stay on Hwy 101 close to the coast, clear up to Crescent City..Then cut over to I-5 at Grant's Pass..Run I-5 to the Border..Some are turning off near Tacoma and heading straight to Port Angeles.

I’ll be goin up 101 through San Jose to Sacramento. I was planning to leave Oxnard around 9:30. Running for an hour or so then pit stop. All the way up.

I've driven up practically every way you can think of west of 395.

101 is definitely the easiest drive, but it slows down a bit through Oregon. Two years ago, I left Ventura in the evening, took a nap just north of San Luis Obispo, then drove up 101 to Tillamook, Oregon, only stopping for gas and food along the way. Almost 900 miles.

Next day I was in Portland visiting friends, a few days later, I drove up to Port Angeles.

This year, I'm thinking I'll stop in Crescent City day 1, then on to Port Angeles day 2. If I can get out of here in time, I'll spend a couple of days in between visiting friends in WA.
